Winter in Europe is going to be ‘Horrific’

Sky News host Rowan Dean says this year’s winter in Europe is going to be “horrific” as the continent’s energy crisis continues.

Mr Dean discussed the issue with Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“You can look at what was happening before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, you can look at the soaring costs before then – so this distraction with ‘oh it’s Russia’s invasion of Ukraine behind that, it is not comparable to us’ – it is,” she said.

“It is this transfer to de-carbonise the economy, to go to renewables that is causing these price hikes, is causing this unreliability.

“We’ve gone back to medieval times.”
