What do Trump’s threats to withhold aid to Egypt, Jordan entail for Gaza’s future
US President Donald Trump says he could “conceivably” withhold aid from Jordan and Egypt if these two Arab countries don’t take in Palestinians expelled from Gaza. Trump has put forward a plan for the US to take over the Gaza Strip and displace Palestinians from the territory, forcing them to “resettle” in Arab countries. In an interview with Bret Baier on Fox News Channel, Trump said Palestinians would not have the right to return to Gaza and would get “much better housing” instead in neighboring countries. The plan has drawn outrage from Palestinians and Arab states in the region.
