US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara to discuss the fighting of rebel forces backed by Turkey against Kurdish forces, which is threatening to destabilize northern Syria. Turkey says the objective is to clear the area of “terrorism.”
