The U.S. has “grave concerns” that Mexico will go ahead with its ban on genetically modified corn for human consumption. U.S. lobby groups say that this will harm farmers and increase the price of tortillas. But why can Europe outlaw GMOs and Mexico can’t? Why is the government lobbying for some farmers and not others?
