Syrian rebels say they’ve found proof of Assad’s drug manufacturing trade | DW News

As Syria’s rebels swept to power, they took control of sites linked to the Assad regime — including factories that were apparently used to manufacture narcotics. The Assad regime was long accused of financing itself in party by exporting a stimulant drug known as captagon. Damascus denied any involvement in the business, but rebel fighters say they’ve found proof.
