Subway just had an emergency meeting with its franchisees on August 15 because of how much their sales are slowing down. And Subway is a business business that’s getting hit from both angles of this high interest rate environment. Customers are coming in and spending less money at the same time their debt payments are exploding, causing financial hardship.
