Selena Gomez BREAKS SILENCE on Demi Lovato Overdose
This is the first we’ve heard from Selena who has known the fellow former Disney star most of her life. In an interview with Elle, the reporter noted that Selena was quote “visibly choked up” when asked about Demi, after which she said: “”All I’m saying is, I reached out to her personally. I didn’t do a public thing. I didn’t want to. I… I love her. I’ve know her since I was seven. So… it’s… that’s what I’ll say.”
Truthfully, it’s really refreshing to see celebrities reaching out to Demi in person instead of on social media – as we know Demi was hospitalized in Los Angeles before checking into a rehab facility where is currently staying.
Selena’s mom, Mandy Teefy, posted a touching message on Instagram following Demi’s overdose, with this caption: This was exactly 10 yrs ago at S, Sweet 16. ddlovato we love you. The world is a better place because of these infectious smiles. My heart hurts.”
We’re so glad to know that Demi has so much support privately and publicly while she’s int eh midst of her recovery. A source close to the situation revealed that Demi is QUOTE “doing great. This is a long road.”
