Australian Industry Group CEO Innes Willox says there is some “real concern” around cost of living issues.
It comes as Treasurer Josh Frydenberg is set to deliver the federal budget on Tuesday.
Mr Willox said the cost issues concern both families and business, and will need to be addressed by the federal government.
“The issue is how the government does it, how long those measures last and if they do keep the economy moving forward and propelling forward, to the point that business will eventually be able to stand on its own two feet,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
