Putin: NATO will be ‘fighting against Russia’ if it lifts Ukraine long-range missile restrictions

Russian President Vladimir Putin is warning the West against letting Ukraine use their longer-range weapons to strike targets deep inside his country. His comments come ahead of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s meeting with US President Joe Biden in Washington. The two leaders are expected to decide whether to allow Ukraine greater control over Western-supplied missiles. Ukraine says Russia has attacked a civilian grain ship in the Black Sea for the first time. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the vessel – carrying Ukrainian grain to Egypt – was struck just as it left Ukrainian waters, off the coast of NATO member Romania.
