This morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization of military forces in Russia, to defend the “Motherland and its sovereignty and territorial integrity” from the West, which wants “to weaken, divide, and ultimately destroy” Russia. This announcement follows a call by the Atlantic Council to consider a preemptive nuclear attack on Russia, and comes shortly after the Samarkand meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, at which Putin held many bilateral meetings. Will the people of the West force a change of course before the world plunges into World War III?
