Prospect of ‘Ill-Trained, Ill-equipped individuals’ with ‘low Morale’ joining Russia’s War

Future Russian Troops going into combat in Ukraine

ANU’s Associate Professor Matthew Sussex says there’s a prospect of “ill-trained, ill-equipped individuals with pretty low morale” going into combat in Ukraine.

Mr Sussex’s remarks come after Russia announced a partial military mobilisation of up to 300,000 troops.

“I think that bodes pretty badly for Russia’s military performance in the coming months,” he told Sky News Australia.
