After Israel said its forces killed Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Gaza, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sinwar’s death offered the chance of peace in the Middle East. But he also warned that the war in Gaza was not over. Sinwar was considered the chief architect behind the Hamas October 7 terror attack on Israel that left more than a thousand people dead and also triggered the war in Gaza.
