NATO Show of Unity Amid Ukraine War | Germany, UK To Fly First Integrated Missions on Russia Border

NATO forces are conducting joint air policing missions in Estonia for the first time amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The joint aerial exercises are being led by the UK’s Royal Air Force alongside the German Air Force. Royal Air Force and German Air Force Typhoon jets will take part in the first of their kind “integrated” missions. UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace described the operation as an indication of NATO’s unity as it faces the ongoing Russian threat. Since November last year, NATO has escorted over 25 Russian military planes from the region’s airspace. Is NATO looking preparing for a potential threat from Putin in the Baltic region?
