It is in China’s “interests” for Australia to strike a deal on trade tariffs for barley, according to Liberal Senator Hollie Hughes. “It’s what China wants, I think, more than anything when we look at what they need for their own economy,” Ms Hughes told Sky News host Paul Murray.
