As the Ax-1 private mission to the International Space Station lifted off from Florida on Friday morning, a new milestone was achieved in the emerging era of commercial spaceflight. Axiom-1 stands for Axiom-1, a crewed mission for Axiom Space, a company that intends to eventually replace the ISS with its own commercial space station.
