Geologist Ian Plimer says the United Kingdom was meant to be the leader of the free world, but they have “destroyed themselves from within” by following a green agenda.

“By thinking they are holier than thou – that they can actually beat nature by having sea breezes and sunbeams drive an industrial economy,” he told Sky News host Rowan Dean.

The United Kingdom is “meant to be a civilised part of the world” but people cannot “afford the energy” to live, Mr Plimer said.
