As Europe slogs deeper into the summer season, countries across the continent were hit this week by droughts, heatwaves and wildfires. But there are more reasons to sweat: Russia continues to play with gas supplies to the European Union. Building on plans to get off Russian gas, European leaders now want to cut gas consumption by 15% to save up for the colder months. But not everyone’s on board.
