As Russia’s president Putin hosts leaders of the BRICS group of nations, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin visited Ukraine on Monday and announced details of a 400 million dollar aid package for the embattled nation. This comes just two weeks before a US presidential election that could put further aid in doubt. During the visit, a Russian bombardment hit the eastern city of Pokrovsk, killing three people.
