EU commission set to have fewer women leaders despite push for equality | DW News
The first woman to lead the EU, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, is pushing for gender parity. She wants an equal number of men and women in her team of commissioners — but seems to have fallen short. As she begins her second term, she’d asked all of the EU’s member countries to nominate both a man and a woman for her to choose from, as she fills various top jobs.
