Israel is targeting militant group Hezbollah’s finance centers as part of its offensive in southern Lebanon. The Iran-backed group is considered a terrorist organization by the US, Germany and several Sunni Arab countries, while the EU lists its armed wing as a terrorist group. Airstrikes have been directed against a financial organization that Israel accuses of funding Hezbollah. The IDF also claims that Hezbollah is storing hundreds of millions of dollars in cash and gold in tunnels under the Al-Sahel Hospital in Beirut. DW’s Mohamad Chreyteh was part of a press group invited to tour the hospital — where nothing was found. But the Israeli Army says the journalists were searching in the wrong place.
