China lambasts US Vice President JD Vance for calling Chinese people ‘peasants’
China on April 8 attacked US Vice Prez JD Vance for his ‘Chinese Peasants remark, calling it is surprising and saddening to hear “such ignorant and disrespectful” remarks. This comes as a response to JD Vance’s comments on Chinese workers as “peasants.”
“We borrow money from Chinese peasants to buy the things those Chinese peasants manufacture,” U.S. Vice President Vance made the remarks on Fox News.
“China’s position on China-U.S. trade relations has been made very clear. It is surprising and saddening to hear such ignorant and disrespectful remarks from this Vice President,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said during the daily news briefing.
