South Korean police prevented from searching the office of President Yoon | DW News

World News

Police in South Korea have tried to search the office of President Yoon Suk Yeol, but were prevented from entering the building. The attempted search is part of a widening investigation following Yoon’s sudden decision last week to impose martial law. The opposition in South Korea’s parliament has accused the presidential office of ‘insurrection’ after it blocked the police raid. It said it will organise an impeachment vote on Saturday. Its first impeachment attempt against Yoon failed after ruling party lawmakers boycotted the vote. Are they likely to succeed this time?
