In the 10th century the ruling dynasties of Ireland suffered tremendous upheaval as a result of infighting and wars with the Vikings. One family would seize the opportunity to topple their overlords and take power for themselves. In this documentary I take a look at the origins of the Dál gCais, their great king Brian Boru and the Battle of Clontarf. I also take a look at how these events and the characters involved are represented in Crusader Kings 3.
