Kherson “Beginning of the End,” Says Ukraine President | NATO Chief’s Warning On Russia Capabilities

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky paid a visit to the liberated city of Kherson, just days after it was retaken from Russia. Zelensky also addressed troops and local residents about Russia’s occupation of Kherson. Ukraine’s General Staff said Russian forces continue to strike Ukrainian positions in Kherson Oblast. Ukraine said that Russia had fired only 15 Kalibr missiles in October, hinting a possible missile shortage. Ukrainian officials claim that Russia has lost 10,000 troops in two weeks as Ukraine continues its counteroffensive.

The UK Ministry of Defence has given its prediction for how winter will alter conflict conditions for both Russian and Ukrainian forces. A draft resolution by the United Nations nuclear watchdog IAEA calls on Russia to cease all actions against Ukraine’s nuclear facilities. European Union foreign ministers are meeting in Brussels to launch a training mission for Ukraine’s armed forces. Joe Biden and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping have reiterated their agreement that a nuclear war “should never be fought”.
