$160 Million Investment in a new ‘737 Deep Maintenance Facility’ for RAAF fleet in SA announced

Australian News

Finance Minister Simon Birmingham has announced a $160 million investment in a new “737 deep maintenance facility” to be located within South Australia.

The facility will be located “just off-site” of the Edinburgh military base, adjacent to the area.

“This facility is going to be capable of providing the deep maintenance support, the ongoing sustainment to the RAAF fleet of 737 based aircraft,” Mr Birmingham said.

“This is a very important decision and because it ensures that…at Edinburgh, in South Australia, in Australia, for the first time we will have all of the capabilities for deep maintenance of this type of aircraft.”
